Special arrangement in bad weathers

There will be special arrangements in the event of tropical cyclones, heavy persistent rain or thunderstorms and the “Red” or “Black” warning of the rainstorm Warning System. Parents are requested to pay attention to the radio or television broadcast about the weather condition.

A. The announcement of school closure is made by the director of EMB after 6:15 a.m. and before school hours:

•Teachers will ensure the safety of those children who have already arrived at school.

•The school will let children go home under the circumstances of safety.

B. The announcement of school closure is made during school hours:

•Children are not dismissed at once. School will take careful consideration of the current situation and the safety of the children before dismissing children.

•Children are allowed to leave under the following criteria:

•Children go home independently; in this case, parents are advised not to collect their children at school.

•Parents collect their children at school.

•Children leave by school buses; the drivers will inform parents when and where to pick their children.

•Do not phone the school office unless it is necessary.

C. Please inform the school as soon as possible if you have changed the way to let your children go home.
